Transport, Parking & Access

 Getting to School

Where possible, we encourage children to walk to school if they live in the village.

If you live outside the village please note that the Sports and Social Club have kindly agreed to allow us to use their car park at the beginning and end of the school day to reduce the number of cars outside school and enable children to walk safely.

A cycle shelter is provided for children who come to school by bike. Cycling or using a scooter on school premises is strictly forbidden.

Parking

If you need to drive to school please ensure you park in a manner described in the Highway Code and be thoughtful about our neighbours. We ask that parents respect the yellow road markings at the entrance of the school by not parking on them. The Village Hall car park is not a public facility, indeed the school pays to park staff vehicles there, and therefore we ask parents not to park there.

Please ensure you bring your children into the school grounds in the morning. At the end of the day we expect your children to be collected from within the playground. The safety of our children is paramount.

Gaining Access

Our electronic gate opens at the following times:

08.40 until 09.10

14.50 until 15.30

If you arrive around these times please wait for the gate to open.  Access can be gained at other times by pressing the buzzer to the left of the gate and speaking to a member of staff in the school office. Please be considerate that while we endeavour not to keep you waiting there may be times when we unfortunately do so for a short while.
