Our school meals are cooked at Edmund de Moundeford Primary School, Feltwell, and provide a well-balanced, wholesome and good value meal. The price of a school lunch is currently £2.20 per day, £11.00 per week. Please complete a School Dinner Order Form and post it, along with any any money due, in a sealed named envelope in the green mailbox in the foyer. All parents are issued with the latest menu to enable them to know the meals which are being served. A hot meal, hot vegetarian option, jacket potato or a packed lunch are available each day.
Free School Meals
Currently all children in Year R, 1 & 2 can receive a 'universal infant' free school meal due to current government policy. However, we still need you to let us know if you meet the requirements for a traditional free school meal because you are on benefits etc. as the school receives funding which can support the work we do across the school. If you have questions or are not sure if you qualify please speak with staff in the office who will handle your query in confidence.
Packed lunches should be brought to school in a strong container with your child’s name on it. Soft drinks need to be in a suitable plastic container. Fizzy or sugar drinks are not allowed. Water is available for all children.
Mid Morning Snacks
We encourage children to bring a healthy snack. Fruit/vegetables are provided for all children in Years R, 1 and 2. Milk is provided free for all children until their 5th birthday, you are welcome to order milk at a discounted price after this. Please speak to a member of staff in the office for more details.
All children have access to drinking water throughout the day. They may bring a named ‘sports’ bottle in from home to keep on the desk. We have bottles on sale in the school office at a cost of £1.50.
We have a number of children in school who are highly allergic to nuts and seeds. Please DO NOT include these items in your child’s packed lunch or snack.
