New Yorkers run a second successful cafe, this time raising money for the new classroom fund.
Following the success of their first venture into the hospitality industry with their Macmillan Coffee Morning last year, New York decided to reopen their highly acclaimed cafe to the public once more. This time they were raising money for the PTFA who are kindly putting up a large sum of money to pay for New York's incredible new learning space.
Pupils, family and friends made cakes for the occasion and then on Friday 27th April at 1.30pm the cafe opened its doors to serve refreshments prior to the official opening of New York's new classroom.
On offer was ambient music, service with a smile and the best cup of tea and slice of cake served for miles around. Year 6's impeccable service ensured that they raised over £83 towards the new classroom fund.
The children were rewarded for their efforts with a slice of Mrs Raven's delicious celebration cake.
