Maths Day: a success!

Our recent Maths Day had the children working their brains very hard. They explored a wide variety of mathematical problems workiong in their family groupings.

What a great day we had! Children created pizzas making sure the ingredients were fractions of a whole; they made paper planes and measured the distance they flew; each family created a life size chart showing the height of everyone in their family; groups played cards, explored the best way to stack cans; investigated measurement; used co-ordinates to solve a problem and estimated the cost of everyday items.

It was an action packed day. Let's hear from the children:

"We thought it was great!"
